  7. The Rendition III is a high-resolution intelligent graphics controller based on
  8. the Texas Instruments TMS34020 GSP - a full 32-bit internal instruction with
  9. 512 bytes of on-chip cache. The TMS34020 is able to out-perform the TMS34010 by
  10. 1/5 times in most functions and at a higher resolution. The Rendition III
  11. supports both fixed and multi-frequency monitors at resolutions of 1280 x 1024
  12. non-interlaced and 1024 x 768 non-interlaced. Memory configurations on the
  13. Rendition III allow up to 2 MB of VRAM for 256 color support at 1280 x 1024
  14. resolution and 0,1, or 4 MB of DRAM for enhanced performance for some of the
  15. application drivers. The Rendition III is also designed to incorporate the
  16. TMS34082 floating point graphics coprocessor as a field upgrade option.
